10 hours!!!!

Yes, it's true... that is how many hours Julia slept last night! When we woke up at 8:00 and she had been asleep since 10:00 pm, we sat there for a good 15 minutes trying to remember if I had fed her in the middle of the night and just didn't remember it! But, either I was in a coma when I fed her, or she officially slept through the night last night for the first time! Hooray!! This is one happy mama today!!

Other than that, Julia survived her first long road trip, all the way to California. She survived for about 8 hours pretty happily, but then her patience ended and she was not a happy camper! The trip that normally takes us about 9 or 10 hours took about 12, so Julia definitely adds to the length of the trip, but we all survived and we are safely and happily back in Utah!

We were in California for Mathew's (my brother) homecoming. He returned from serving in Japan, Fukuoka, and I am so proud of him! We had a really nice time, and Julia spent many hours being held by all three of her great grandparents! It was great to be with so much family, especially since that is the last driving trip to California that we will take for a while!

Other than that things are good with us. We are slowly but surely packing, switching utilities into our name in Texas, and we even bought couches yesterday! We are looking forward to starting a new phase of our life in Texas, although as the days are passing quickly we are remembering all the things that we are going to miss about living in Utah!

Well, here are some recent pictures:

Julia's new toy

She loves it... can't you tell?? Really, she does though! :)

Aunt Stephanie!

Driving home from California was such a treat with a baby! :)

Every time we took Julia out of her car seat she would arch her back like there was no tomorrow! We are such mean parents to strap her into a torture chamber for hours! (don't call CPS, I'm just talking about the car seat!)

Devin's trying to instill a love of golf at a young age.

Devin, Michael and Stephanie had fun golfing, even though it was about 110 degrees!!

Julia with Papa, her GREAT grandpa!

Julia and I with my grandma and mom. The beautiful blessing dress Julia is wearing was made by none other than my talented mother!

Our new little family on Julia's blessing day.

My whole family, together for the first time in 2 years!

Devin and I with our closing documents! We officially own our house!!

More Julia...

Four generations!! My grandma, my mom, me, and little Julia.

The doctor said that grape popsicles are really good for newborns.
Ok, just kidding... she's purple from the messy medicine for mommy and baby... hence the purple face in many of the pictures that follow!

Daddy and Julia both taking a much needed nap! (This is one of my favorite pictures!)

Our little sleeping Diva!

Bath time! She really loves taking a bath, even though she looks like she can't quite figure out what exactly is going on...

Two week check-up... everything was great! She was 8 lb. 14 oz. at her check up, and now she weighs about 10 1/2 lbs! She's a chunker!

They poked her heel and she didn't like it!

Thank heaven for little girls!

Her favorite way to sleep... too bad Devin can't just crawl into her crib with her so she can sleep this soundly at night!! :)

Well, I hope this is enough pictures to satisfy all grandparents and friends! I'll try to keep them coming more than just every couple of weeks!! :)

Pictures from Bear Lake

We think she's "per * fect" too!!

She's almost smiling!!

Julia in her incredibly cute swimming suit (thanks Emily!) and the little problem that meant she only wore it for a few minutes!! :)

Devin rockin' the jet ski

Our family at Bear Lake

One Month!!

Well, here is the long awaited new post with more pictures! I can't believe how much Julia has changed in the last four weeks, and yes, she is now one month old! Despite the days and nights all running together in an endless blur of feeding and not sleeping, it really has gone fast.

We spent last week at Bear Lake, and all three of us had a great time. (Granted, Julia had no idea she was anywhere different, but she still seemed happy! :) ) Devin had a great time jet skiing, Julia had a blow-out in her cute swimming suit (joyous!) and we ate way too many raspberry milkshakes! It was a fun week, and I learned that it is possible to leave our house with Julia, and both mom and baby survive!

Here are some pictures of what has been happening for the last few weeks!

More cute pictures!!!

These are just some pics showing her really cute curly hair! It is very curly right after her baths, but her hair is so fine that it brushes out easily. We just wonder if it is going to stay that way?
By the way, I am getting pretty good at typing one handed while I hold her.

WELCOME JULIA LEE WILLIAMS!!!
We are so excited to have our baby here. Andrea gave birth to Julia on May 22 at 6:09pm. As you can see, she has long curly hair. She weighed 8 pounds 4 oz and was 21.5 inches long. Good thing she was early, or she would have been a 10-pound baby.
We are lucky to have plenty of time this summer to play with her. We have been blessed to have Andrea's mom here for a week helping us. We love being parents (although it is a little scary).

Here We Go!!

Well, it looks like I finally did it! I finally started a blog! And just in the nick of time too, since we're about to add a third member to our family any day now! (and I hear that posting pictures of your kids is really what a blog is for!) The next step is to figure out how to let other people see this thing! :) I'll get on that!
